~Blocked~
Mind full of colour and creative ideas
thoughts that are overflowing
brain trying to escape through all of the fears
in to the brick wall are bowling.
We scream ‘til we are really blue in the face
trapped and waiting for deliverance
but when we awake there’ll be not a trace
except for the fear of recurrence.

Stifled!...It's beautiful! Really nice work on the details, and as usual, a cool choice of colours.

Thanks. About the color choice: Usually I try to go for color harmony, making a balance between complimentary colors. For this one, and for the first time, I tried to find discord. I didn't know if this would work. But it's out there for critique.
Yes, stifled! Great word for it! I'd use that as the title--but I don't want to copy you!

Copy, shmoppy! Use it if you like...I don't see a tree anywhere. I can't think of a better title.

Then STIFLED it shall be! Thanks MADman!

The colors are very strong... normally I'd think such a gradual shift from blueish violet to red to orange would end up too soft, but the warm/cold contrast between the wall and the face, and the tinge of green in the mortar really changes that. Very dramatic.

Thanks! I'm glad that this color contrast is evident, because it was definitely done on purpose.
I suppose, for all intents and purposes, I am a colorist. I am always looking for balance in color; either for harmony, or discord. In this case, I was going for discord, and drama. I'm glad you picked up on that.
Your comment is appreciated, as always!

nightmare for a dentist... talk about keeping your mouth shut...

When God speaks of love he usually refers to man...

Never thought about the dentist... they'll need a big set of plyers!
